Rest. Breathe.
Take today to reflect and think about what we've been reading. God's Word is so full. The rich history within the pages of scripture has so much to teach us, even today, thousands of years later. Are you behind in your reading? That's okay! Use today to catch up. Are there verses that confuse you? Upset you? Make you think? Write them down! Often we'll find the answers to our questions further into our reading. Also, God's Word can be troublesome. We may not always understand, agree with, or accept all the things we're reading, but God can handle our questions. Journal your thoughts and pray for clarity, wisdom, and discernment. God is faithful and will answer. He is a God of order and not of confusion. He wants us to understand the Word that he purposely left for us. This is a very big deal that you've committed to reading every day. Congratulations! How is your reading plan going so far? Let us know! Feel free to comment below! Good morning! Feel free to comment "done" below when you've finished today's reading. Chime in with a question or a comment as well! Good morning! Today's reading is not quite as straight-forward as the previous days. If you're reading in your own personal Bible and not The Daily Bible, you'll be doing a little flipping back and forth. Using your own Bible is fine (I {Mandy} used my own when I followed this program last year), but you will have much more flipping in coming months. You can still order a copy of The Daily Bible by clicking HERE. (We receive no compensation for these links.) *Also, please note that if you are following along in The Daily Bible, yours will be a 7-day reading week. Here at Deliberate Women, we have provided a Grace Day once a week to allow for rest and/or catching up. We are still reading through in the same order, but certain days' schedules for DW will look different than the schedule in The Daily Bible. Jan 5 Reading: Gensis 11:1-9, Genesis 10, Genesis 11:10-32
Feel free to comment "done" in the comments when you've finished today's reading, for added accountability. Chime in with comments and questions as well! Welcome to a fresh week of reading! CONGRATULATIONS on committing to reading through the Bible in a year! God's word never returns void! If you fall behind, don't stress! Use the grace day each week to catch up and if you find you need more time to read through or process a section of reading, do so. This isnt a race. Finishing "on time" isn't as important as meditating on God's Word and hearing Him as He speaks to you through it. Jan 4 Reading: Gen. 6-9Feel free to comment below with "Done" when you've finished your reading for today, for an added accountability. Chime in with insight, comments nd questions!
Jan 2 Reading: Genesis 4-5 Feel free to add "done" in the comments below when you've finished today's reading, as an added accountability. Also, chime in with insight, questions, and comments!
