Founder/Editor -in-Chief
Mandy is wife to 1, mom to 6, and an elementary school teacher. She and her husband Joe live in the Dallas, TX area. She holds a Masters in Bible and Theology and is pursuing a Masters of Divinity from Southwestern Assemblies of God University. Mandy has felt a calling to women's ministry since she started blogging in 2009 . She envisioned creating a sense of community and passion at the original site, Deliberate Women, which she founded in 2012. In October of 2017, Mandy felt led to change the name of the website and ministry to She Heard in reference to John 4. Mandy feels that now is the time to step forward boldly in faith and demonstrate a life of love and purpose-- and how that looks in everyday life. It's her goal to be real and transparent as she seeks to "work with her hands and live a quiet life" in the hopes that others will follow the Great Commission to GO! ...starting right where they are. |
Writer/Editor-at-Large
Lindsey is a wife and mother of 5 children ranging in age from 2 to 11 years. She and her husband Byron currently reside in the beautiful country setting of Southern Ohio. Lindsey is currently delving into her seventh year of homeschooling. Her aim is to give her children a learning environment tailor-made to each of their individual needs. Along with home schooling, the past year and a half have given Lindsey the opportunity to reach the other side of the world through teaching English as a second language to students in China. The opportunity to have some influence in the lives of children who may never otherwise be exposed to a Christian is both an exciting and heavy responsibility that Lindsey truly enjoys. After a turbulent pregnancy and post-partum experience Lindsey chose to take a long hiatus from writing for She Heard to focus on her family and personal mental health. While that break was a necessary one, there was always a desire to come back to She Heard and the mission that is at hand. Lindsey’s goal is to return to this ministry in an impactful way that helps empower others to seek out the Living Water. |
