Join Us in 2017 as we Hide the Lord's Word

As we finish out our Bible in a Year (BIY) for 2016, we're gearing up for what we'll focus on for the New Year. I {Mandy} still feel the Lord calling us to share MORE of His Words and less of ours. Truly, the Lord's Words are life-giving and alive.

​With that in mind, now that we've read through the entire Bible, we will begin memorizing in 2017! The Bible tells us in Psalm 119:11:

I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.

Memorizing scripture is critical in "hiding" His Word in our hearts. The Bible also tells us in Isaiah 55:11:

so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

SO...our goal for 2017 is to memorize 50 selections of scripture...one every week except the first and last week of the year. Each Monday, beginning January 2, 2017 we will post on our HYW page (Under the "Bible Plan" tab). We'll also share that link on our social media pages and in our Facebook Group (Info below about that.)

As an added incentive and accountability, we will be encouraging you to video yourselves reciting your veres(s) each week and upload to a private group we'll host on Facebook. How fun is THAT? Don't be camera-shy! It will be fun to see each other's faces and build a deeper sense of community in our online space.

And like in our BIY group, each week the verse will be posted and you can comment "Done" once you've memorized it.

Will this be a challenge? For sure! Will it be worth it? You bet! We believe your faith will grow exponentially over 2017 as you bury the Lord's Word deep within your heart.
