And...it begins!

Join us again on Saturday as we comment "Done" indicating that we've memorized the scripture. Also, please join us in our Facebook Group and upload a video of yourself reciting the verse in the comments on this week's thread! This is going to be fun!

Good morning! Welcome to 2017!

What a fabulous way you're choosing to begin the New Year! Let's commit RIGHT NOW to seeing this challenge through. Here's how we can best do that...
​

• Pray. Set this before the Lord and tell Him you're committing to memorize 50 verses this year. There's nothing like saying it out loud to GOD to add accountability to whatever you're setting out to do.
• Tell someone else. Just like with praying and telling the Lord, telling someone else adds accountability. An added benefit? If the person you tell wants to join you!
• Check in to our Facebook group regularly. Seeing others setting out to do what you're doing is such encouragement. We've also added the video challenge this year so that we can "see" each other and build rapport and community.
• Be prepared NOW that a million things will come up to keep you from following-through. It never fails...the moment we set out to deepen our relationship with the Lord, the enemy will throw a thousand fiery darts our way to interrupt, discourage, and cripple us. You'll suddenly have a million things that "crop up" and interfere with your desire to memorize. Just plan NOW that no matter what, you'll give 100% to this challenge. You'll be blessed for your effort. (This doesn't mean "life" won't happen. It means that you're aware of the devil's schemes and you won't allow him to get in the way. It also means that if you falter, you won't beat yourself up. You'll pick back up where you left off and forge ahead. You'll persevere and you'll see it through.)

So here's what you need to do this week (if you haven't already):

1. Downlaod the PDF file of all 50 selections HERE.
2. Go to Shelia Gregoire's site and download the Scripture Memory Cards HERE.
3. Join our Facebook Group HERE. (Our Facebook group is "Private" so no one will be able to see what you post or comment in the group except for other members of the group.)
4. Check in on the thread in our Facebook Group (The one labeled "Check In") so we can see who is ready to go!

Beginning January 9, the first scripture selection will be posted here and in our Facebook Group. We'll have that week to memorize and then by Saturday, we'll all have posted "Done" here in the comments and/or on the designated thread in the Facebook Group to show who has memorized. We will also strongly encourage you to upload (in the comments on Facebook) a video of yourself reciting the selection. Don't worry, I'll start each week so you won't have to be the "first one."
