In Psalm 78, we read about the men of Ephraim who were trained archers but yet on the day of battle turned their backs and fled. Why? Verse 11 says "They forgot what he had done, the wonders he had shown them." The men of Ephraim had seen miracles and wonders of seas parting. Yet, they still let fear overtake them all because they forgot their history with God. Have you ever sat down and really thought about your own personal history with God? Those times where He sustained you in times of lack or maybe gave you a "God wink" moment to encourage you. As we start the New Year, I {Toi} want to encourage you to sit down and list on paper your own history with God. If you are having trouble remembering, start with listing the day you first came to know Him. |
