I (Mia) always say that my favorite thing about the New Year is looking back at all that happened over the past 12 months of my life. Facebook makes it easy with their “On This Day” app, which happens to be one of my favorite things about Facebook. Sometimes, I look back and ask myself why on earth I posted this or that, then I delete it from all eternity, but other times, it serves as a reminder or the joys and sorrows that I so quickly forget.
2015 was a year of growth for me, a year of seeking God more diligently on the direction of my ministry, music and career. God was faithful in responding and still is as I continue to seek him. Yet, what he did over these past 12 months was to stretch me, put me in places and situations that were way out of my comfort zone, but as I stepped obediently into what he was calling me to do, I saw so sweetly and intimately how he held my hand each step of the way. I saw how he gave me the insight I needed, the time, the patience and the ability to walk into the new callings He prepared in advance just for me. As He spoke and as I listened, I got to see God do His thing. I got to see God be strong in my weakness. So now in 2016, as I continue to walk in areas that are a little more difficult, areas that require me to stretch, I am comforted as I remember and look back at all God has done and praise Him for His faithfulness. My One Word for this year just so happens to be REMAIN. May I remain in Him, in all He has done and be diligent to allow him to shake of in me all that should not remain and walk in those things that are eternal, His Word. Friends, remain in Him, abide in Him and He will abide in you. Be blessed in 2016, may it be the best year yet! Love you in the Lord, Mia |
